IMPACT4WORKFLOW SOLO

Agile project planning for solo creatives

A project planner for creative digital natives

A local, process-aware workspace for projects, code and creative production This project planner is designed as a tool for people whose work is bound directly to projects, files and production structures - developers, designers, motion artists, 3D artists, technical creatives or freelancers. At the centre stands not abstract task management, but the real project tree itself.

The approach follows a simple observation: in many digital working environments there are two separate worlds. On one side are files, folders and project structures in the file system. On the other are project management tools with boards, tasks and status information. This separation frequently leads to redundancy, breaks in the workflow and inconsistent information.

The project planner therefore takes a different approach: the project tree itself becomes the workspace.

Folders structure the context of a project, while independent card objects describe the operational state of individual pieces of work. Out of this combination, process views, progress information and portfolio overviews arise automatically - without a separate planning world having to be maintained.

A workspace instead of a classic project management tool The system joins three dimensions of work:

Space: project structure and folder hierarchy Process: defined working states and process steps Units: cards as operational units of work

Folders form the spatial structure of a project. Cards describe concrete pieces of work, tasks or production steps. Process definitions set out which states or phases exist within a workflow.

Out of these three elements the software generates different perspectives on the same workspace. The most important are:

Explorer view: shows the project tree with aggregated progress Kanban board: visualises the current process flow Portfolio board: shows the state of whole projects or areas
